Vocabulary Words and Definitions 
  • padlock- a strong lock placed on a door to keep people from opening it
  • rust- metal that has been turn to a red powder caused by continuously getting well
  • rotten- old, soggy, not like it was when it was new
  • shatter- to break something into many pieces that they fly in different directions 
  • belong- to own, to have
  • window frame- the wood that outlines the glass part of a window 
  • jagged- uneven, rough edges that are normally formed when something breaks unevenly 
  • palette- a plate used to hold different colors of paint for an artist
  • polite- using good manners
  • beg- to ask many times or in a needy voice
